The Banditaccia necropolis in Cerveteri is one of the most complex archaeological landscapes of the ancient Mediterranean, the place that funerary architecture, territorial organisation and environmental processes converge into a united cultural system. Despite its outstanding universal value, the site faces different problems such as increasing pressures linked to erosion, vegetation dynamics, climatic variability and visitor impact. Traditional conservation approaches are often focused on individual monuments, struggle to address the spatial and ecological dimensions that shape the long-term vulnerability of the necropolis.This thesis proposes a landscape based and digitally supported methodology for understanding and managing the archaeological territory of Cerveteri. Through an integrated analysis of geological structures, morphological patterns, spatial organisation and ecological behaviour.
