Abstract
Biomethane plants represent a significant development in the renewable energy sector, providing a sustainable solution for energy production. This biological molecule has the potential to play a crucial role in Italy's energy landscape. Biomethane farms are at the heart of the agro-ecological transition thanks to the opportunities of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) linked to the development of biomethane and agriculture measures 4.0 which will help to consolidate the role of agriculture as a major player against the energy and climate crisis. Experience so far shows clearly that the development of bioenergy has economic and employment effects far more significant than shown by other renewable sources.
This thesis talks about to how Italy moved into the biomethane business and how a plant can be projected respecting the burocracy.
