This thesis with the title “Prioritization of projects in Project Portfolio Management” mainly focuses on different methods and tools that are commonly used to select and prioritize the different project opportunities inside a companies’ portfolio. This work is primarily bibliographical, where we have performed an extensive and systematic literature review. However, we have also studied and analysed PPM softwares that are generally used. Firstly, we have carried out a general literature review on Project Portfolio Management (PPM), where we have studied its importance for enterprises and the challenges it faces nowadays. Furthermore, we have reviewed distinct techniques that companies use to prioritize their projects.
