Abstract
In this thesis, we will produce a detailed analysis of the tool called DExIMA, from the high-level description to the more detailed one. The tool was previously developed by Nicola Piano in its first version. In this thesis, we will analyze the first version of the program, and we will successively rewrite it completely from zero, changing the structure and the modes of computations of the program. All this work is done to improve several aspects of the code and the interface with the user. Developed in C++, DExIMA word stands for Design-Explorer for In-Memory Architecture, because it is used to explore the solution spaces of the possible Logic-in-Memory (LiM) approach.
The first part of this thesis is dedicated to the description of what a LiM is, and how it works, considering the state of the art of this technology and its applications
