Study and reproduction of ADAS related maneuvers on a static simulator using advanced vehicle dynamics model.
Rel. Massimiliana Carello. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Automotive Engineering (Ingegneria Dell'Autoveicolo), 2019
Abstract
This thesis is about the study of ADAS systems and their application in real driving scenarios with the goal to reproduce them in a simulative environment based on a static simulator infrastructure with the use of virtual simulated sensors. The first part is dedicated to the review of documentation about ADAS systems: concepts behind them are introduced and the main social, legal and technical aspects are investigated. Then European Community ADAS related projects are presented since their outcomes are the basis for the following development of logics and maneuvers. After that, the simulation infrastructure is developed. Firstly it is stated why a virtual environment can be used and why it is convenient.
Then static simulator archetype is presented in terms of hardware layout and functionality logics
