Abstract

The automotive world is changing extremely fast due to the evolution of many factors that influence and modify the conventional approach. Future mobility challenges and models will change the transportation of people and goods. Even the world of light commercial vehicles (LCV) is already changing its soul due to the costumers needs; e-commerce and e-foods are diffusing more and more. Night delivery, autonomous driving and last mile delivery will be the next hardest challenge to face. The new regulation concerning CO2 and the city centers banned zones are pushing the implementation of electric vehicles (EV). The improvement of technology and of the diffusion of the electric infrastructures help the costumers to get confidence and trust with these new kinds of vehicles.

The thesis tries to summarize the most important elements and to explain how they interact with the light commercial vehicle electrification market
