Abstract
Nowadays environmental sustainability has become one of the main priorities in the political decision-making processes due to the climatic changes ongoing. In order to face the climate crisis, a progressive electrification of various spheres of our society is encouraged including, perhaps primarily, the automotive sector. Therefore, Engineering finds new challenges and new developmental territories, including offroad mobility in military contexts. The use of an electrified powertrain can help soldiers in different operational scenarios, thanks to features like low-noise production, high efficiency, starting torque and flexibility. In particular, this dissertation aims to describe the evolution of a new and innovative All Terrain Vehicle with a hybrid powertrain developed and produced by Oral Engineering SRL, which will be used for military purposes.
The main goal was to analyze the model, provided by Oral, and to propose improvements, considering the real needs of the vehicle in complex and sometimes extreme environmental conditions, in which it will be used
