Abstract
Wireless Vehicular Networks represent an interesting research area because of its possible future application in the automotive industries focusing on the information exchange among autonomous vehicles in urban environments. In this thesis, we first make a brief comparison between the IEEE 802.11p (First standard designed for the communications on the road) and an alternative wireless vehicular Network LTE-V (Long Term Evolution-Vehicle) that adds some extensions to the LTE standard. In both standards, the utilization of OFDM is able to counteract the doubly selectivity characterizing the vehicular environment. Unfortunately, it generates other problems as interferences among adjacent channels caused by high Out-Of-Band emissions.
Moreover the channel capacity increase represents an important topic in order to get higher rates
