The field of integration of mobile phones into automotive infotainment systems is in full expansion. In this context, Apple CarPlay© tends to be one of the leading solutions. For a complete "connected car" experience the interaction with native features of the infotainment system (selection of a radio station, selection of an audio source, control of the car climate features) and collection of vehicle data are mandatory. The goal of this internship will be to develop (1) an Apple CarPlay© iOS application allowing this interactions, and (2) its Middleware counterpart to control / interact with the Automotive Infotainment System. In the process of these developments, I am in charge of the following items: - Requirements and Design specifications; - Development of the application using iOS dev kit; - Development of the middleware SW to interface with the needed modules of the infotainment system;.
