Abstract
The thesis is divided into three parts
The first part describes the geographical and historical situation of Rmeich in the history of Lebanon and in the South of Lebanon conflict. It describes the unstable political situation that affected directly and indirectly the area economically and in safety matters. Then a site analysis is made to show the accessibility into the area, density flow history of Rmeich and climate of Lebanon and the region of the South etc. to be taken in consideration during the elaboration of the project.
The second part shows the project main elements; explaining the main concept and the landscape concept then explaining the project program and zoning. A ventilation and solar path study is made to understand the orientation of the project and explore the best ventilation shading systems to be used in the design. A garden plate is made to show the importance of the greenery in the project and the meaning of the greenery types used in the garden.
The third part concerns the technical part and materials choice. Some new technics of construction are realized to understand better how each part of the project works. For example, some details of prefabricated concrete joints are designed to make the construction easier and faster. A rain water collection study is realized to show the auto-efficiency of this system in our project. In the end, a table of main materials used with a sustainability notion of each.
