Abstract
This Master’s thesis is dedicated to the adaptive reuse of the 13th century Church Cattedrale di San Giusto Martire in the small Alpine town of Susa, 50 kilometers from Turin. The building has a rich history and has been rebuilt many times. It is a reflection of art that combines various architectural and cultural styles of several historical centuries. Many historical sites in small Italian towns are losing their relevance and function. This often happens with medieval towers and sacred spaces, mainly due to the design features of structures that do not comply with modern safety standards. All this makes it difficult to use the architectural object on a daily basis, which is why it collapses over time.
The main problem of the Cattedrale di San Giusto bell tower is a long-term abandoned condition
