Abstract
The rapid growth of electric mobility has significantly increased the demand for efficient, reliable, and safe battery systems. In this context, Battery Management Systems (BMS) play a crucial role in ensuring optimal performance, safety, and lifetime of battery packs used in electric vehicles. This thesis presents the hardware and firmware development of an innovative electronic board designed for monitoring battery modules within an electric vehicle battery pack. The work was carried out within a collaborative industrial project involving multiple companies, aiming at the realization of a functional and scalable prototype. The project involved the complete design flow, starting from system requirements definition and hardware architecture development to PCB layout, component selection, and prototype validation.
Particular attention was dedicated to measurement accuracy, signal integrity, power management, and compliance with industrial constraints
