Rel. Andrea Tuni. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Gestionale (Engineering And Management), 2026
Abstract
The fashion sector, including textiles and footwear, represents one of the main areas of intervention of the European Green Deal. In the upcoming regulatory framework, the textile and footwear sectors are prioritized in the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles and in the Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulation, due to their high environmental and social impact throughout the entire life cycle of products. The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is among the measures that will be introduced by the European Union aiming at improving the traceability, circularity and transparency of information within fashion supply chains. The present thesis adopts a qualitative research approach to analyze the readiness of Italian companies in the textile and footwear sector with respect to the implementation of DPP.
The investigation is based on the Gioia Methodology, an interpretive approach that involves conducting semi-structured interviews with experts and professionals in the field, in order to understand in depth the perceptions, strategies, and challenges experienced by the actors directly involved
