My thesis project focused on increasing the operational efficiency of the sortation process at MAD8 by utilizing feeder downtime to pre-sort packages destined for lines C and D into designated bags. The key goals were to reduce diverter congestion, optimize feeder idle time, and improve throughput without adding new headcount. The project progressed from initial analysis and planning through to a comprehensive three-week test implementation.
