This thesis focuses on the analysis, assembly, and testing of a test bench. This is in order to evaluate a patented actuator developed by the technology hub of MAG. The actuator, called CLASS, is the result of a collective effort involving previous researchers.So part of the content is build upon the knowledge gained from previous students of the technology hub. In particular, the design of the actuator is the result of three previous research works, which have contributed to creating an EMA actuator characterized by a innovative design and high fault tolerance. The thesis has three main objectives. Firstly, it aims to build a deep model of the actuator’s test bench on Simscape, to understand the parameters and components influencing its performance.
