People spend approximately 90% of their time in indoor environments, so indoor environmental quality (IEQ [1]) has a direct and profound impact on people’s health and well-being. This current situation has attracted significant attention to IEQ data monitoring technology. However, traditional IEQ monitoring systems have many challenges, such as the inability to provide real-time data, resulting in the inability to quickly respond to environmental changes to maintain optimal indoor conditions; the system lacks flexibility and scalability, making it difficult to integrate new technologies; and data from different sources is difficult to interconnect, forming data islands, which affects the comprehensive analysis capabilities of data.
