Abstract
This thesis explores sustainable energy solutions aimed at mitigating the environmental impact of fossil fuel consumption, with a particular focus on heating systems. The study centers on the implementation of a geothermal system within a newbuilding as part of the European ARV project in Trento, Italy. The primary objective is to enhance the efficiency of heating systems by using the Earth's stable temperature at depths of approximately 5 to 10 meters below the surface. This approach aims to minimize resource depletion and waste generation. The proposed geothermal system utilizes the Earth's natural temperature gradient to provide reliable heating. To address seasonal variations in energy demand, the thesis recommends integrating solar panels to ensure a consistent and sustainable energy supply throughout the year, thereby optimizing the overall system performance.
The ARV project adopts a circular approach to minimize waste and promote sustainability, demonstrating how urban development can align with environmental objectives
