This report presents an overview of my master thesis experience about the conception and the prototyping of automotive external and internal opening commands. It begins with an introduction to the company and its field of activity, followed by a detailed description of the thesis’s objectives. The document then delves into the design and application of handles and sensors, including internal and external handles, capacitive sensors, piezoelectric sensors, and strain gauges, emphasizing their functioning, types, automotive applications, advantages, and disadvantages. Besides, the subsequent sections focus on specific projects, such as inner handle design, and the characterization of strain gauges through various valida- tion tests.
