Abstract
The thesis is the result of a corporate experience in Dayco, a company leader in the original equipment market in the automotive sector. The thesis aims to evaluate the possibility to implement a process mining project in Dayco, starting from the supply chain department and the plant warehouse. The first step of the ambitious business project management analysis is a traditional business process map which is developed to have a better idea about how the processes in the warehouse flow. Then, the feasibility of a conformance process mining project is evaluated to estimate the link between the model and the reality and to enhance the procedure.
Since Dayco adopts the lean production principles to manage each aspect of the company, the 5 whys and 5S methods are used to analyze the process and identify its inefficiencies
