The scope of the thesis is to improve the PhotoNext project, whose purpose is to process the displacement and temperature information coming from a set of Fibre Bragg Gratings (FBG) sensors of an airplane. The core of the project is the middleware created, that can be hosted in a Raspberry Pi 4 board. This improvement was done by creating a middleware independent from the type of interrogator used. This independence will make the middleware support all types and sizes of interrogators that will be used on different sized airplanes. The interrogator reads the displacement/temperature coming from FBG sensors, a connectivity is provided between the interrogator and the middleware.
