Time as a place:

On the basis that the concept of time as a place is the one that governs the argument and the project developed here; it is necessary to define -first- what is meant by place, or even better for the architectural space. It is here where the definition of Christian Norberg - Schulz finds its place when he attributes to the architectural space the settlement of the existential space of human being turning this, at the same time, in "a relatively stable system of sensory schemas or images of the surrounding environment." In his book, "Existence, Space and Architecture" refers to the work of Dagoberto Frey, Rudolf Schwarz and Kevin Lynchn, highlighting its importance by referring to the existential space and architectural space specifically, in an effort to "build an intellectual bridge between man and his environment."

The speed of the new technologies that surround us at present; the haste with which we live; the speed in which things begin and end, condemns too many buildings to the oblivion, to the abandon and to the silence. Present at the core of any city, these spaces remain mute, blind and deaf to the urban life, waiting for a change that reinstate them again. This keeps the building passive, in an intermediate time between what it was and what will be. This temporary "in-between", according to the hypothesis projecting, could be taken to use them temporarily and re-insert this spaces to the urban life till now ignored.
