Abstract
The aim of the project is to develop a software that can be used to solve the cardiovascular flow inside the Aorta, this can be very useful in the medical investigation on the aneurism after the diagnosis. Visualize how the aneurism affect the blood flow inside the Aorta permit to plan with extreme accuracy the actions that has to be taken. This work will present a method to improve the accuracy and make more efficient the numerical evaluation of the force distribution on the surface of an Aorta affected by an aneurism. Fluid Dynamic forces will be evaluate over a complex geometry using immersed boundary method and octree grids.
The advantages in terms of time and memory used, using an octree grid instead of a uniform cartesian grid are first investigate
