The work in question concerns a technical and economic analysis of PV systems and PV-battery systems in the residential setting of a village in central-northern Scotland. In particular, a PV system and a PV-battery system were assigned to each house of the village considering the input data relating to energy consumption of the previous year. An economic analysis was carried out to evaluate the payback and to understand if the investments were convenient based on the costs and energy tariffs in Scotland. Finally, on equal terms, the ideal value of the energy tariffs that should be had in the case of a certain payback was calculated.
