Social housing plays a fundamental role in addressing housing inequality, yet it is often associated with visible architectural markers that reinforce housing stigma and social exclusion. While housing stigma has been widely discussed in relation to policy, socio-economic conditions, and territorial reputation, comparatively limited attention has been given to the role of architectural design in shaping these perceptions. As a result, the physical environment can unintentionally communicate social hierarchy and distinction through its form, materials, and spatial organisation. This thesis investigates the relationship between architectural design and housing stigma through the concept of tenure-blind social housing**, exploring how design can contribute to more inclusive and equitable urban environments.
