Abstract
This thesis analyses the processes and performance of a hospital pharmaceutical warehouse through a case study conducted at A.O. Ordine Mauriziano di Torino, with particular focus on the automated drug storage system and on the evaluation of operational and economic performance indicators. Healthcare pharmaceutical logistics plays an important role in ensuring drug availability, patient safety and continuity of care. The study was conducted within the framework of a research project aimed at developing and validating a structured dashboard of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for hospital supply chain management. The research adopts a process-based approach. The main internal logistics flows were systematically observed and mapped through detailed flow charts.
Process mapping enabled the identification of critical activities, decision points, stakeholders and potential failure modes, providing a clear representation of the current operational configuration of the warehouse
