Abstract
In recent years, there have been significant technological progresses in power electronics for electric mobility, renewable energy production and variable speed drives. The power industry is facing significant challenges in reducing environmental impact and meeting growing energy needs, particularly in the e-mobility and infrastructure sectors. These trends will drive the development of more efficient, compact, and reliable system, playing a crucial role in the transition to a more sustainable and technologically advanced world. In this scenario, an innovative axially mounted multi three-phase inverter is presented as a new conceptual integrated motor drive (IMD) preferable for configurations with high torque where the stator diameter tends to be longer than the stack length.
Also, increasing the phase number allows high-power machines to operate at a low voltage and current levels
