Abstract
The subject of the thesis is the design of a module based on NB-IoT/LTE-M technology for IoT applications belonging to the Briki MBC family. The candidate will be required to deepen their understanding of NB-IoT/LTE-M technology and analyze the solutions currently available on the market, comparing their main features in a table. Subsequently, the planning phase will continue, determining whether it is possible to develop a device capable of filling the gaps in existing products on the market and aligning with the design philosophy of Briki solutions (modularity, code compatibility, open hardware/software). The next step will be the design of the planned hardware solution, with a particular focus on the creation of medium-density mixed-signal PCBs.
If feasible, a first prototype will be developed, providing the candidate with a comprehensive view of the process leading to the creation of a pre-production prototype.
