Abstract
The automotive industry is undergoing a challenging transformation, moving beyond traditional mechanical engineering and distributed electronics towards a new era of software-driven mobility. Electrification, digitalization, and the rapid adoption of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) have accelerated the demand for Electrical/Electronic (E/E) architectures capable of supporting complex vehicle functions. In this context, the traditional E/E distributed architecture, has reached its limits in terms of scalability, cost, wiring complexity, and maintainability. To address these limitations, the industry is converging on new types of architectures preparing the ground for the concept of the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV). ?? This thesis aims to develop a Proof-of-Concept designed to serve as a testbench for new architectures development.
The prototype will demonstrates how new E/E architectures can simplify features integration, reduce wiring complexity, and provide a realistic platform to evaluate performance bottlenecks, safety constraints, and scalability requirements for SDV deployments
