Optimization of 1D Simulation Processes with GT-Automation.
Rel. Federico Millo. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Automotive Engineering (Ingegneria Dell'Autoveicolo), 2025
Abstract
In recent years, simulation software has become increasingly prevalent among companies and research institutions for a wide range of applications, including product development, validation, and experimental design. This software, though, requires the development of models that replicate reality as closely as possible for it to be a useful tool. Also, managing particularly complex models subjected to modifications by multiple engineers easily becomes both challenging and time-consuming. Complex models that require long and iterative calibration processes can greatly benefit from the integration of automation tools: they can streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance model accessibility. The aim of this thesis is to develop automation systems that can be applied to Aston Martin Lagonda’s full vehicle model within the GT-Suite simulation environment.
The objective is to design tools to complete repetitive and time-consuming tasks or to improve the navigation of the model, and address software limitations
