Abstract
Water scarcity, especially the availability of potable water, is exacerbated by global warming and poses a significant challenge. The construction industry significantly impacts water usage, prompting the development of certifications and standards aimed at mitigating buildings' environmental impact. The thesis examines the green building concept with a focus on water conservation, utilizing Building Information Modeling to analyze this concept within the framework of sustainability by following the LEED certification system. Despite efforts to quantify sustainable buildings clearly, the complexity of sustainability and its assessment presents challenges. Integrating BIM and LEED as a framework for green certifications, this study develops a methodology in the Visual Programming Language.
This methodology, created in Dynamo for BIM modeling software, aims to simplify assessment parameters and calculations and assist users in selecting appropriate strategies and parameters to acquire credits
