Abstract
China's urban design in the past 20 years has mainly focused on the creation of urban space aesthetics and the construction of large-scale urban projects, but neglected that urban design should based on people's everyday life. As the main renewal object in the current era of stock optimization in China, the old community is inseparable from the top-down planning and construction of the city, but at the same time, there is also the role and embodiment of the user's self-awareness in the public space. The previous top-down design model based on material space planning has gradually shown its shortcomings. This design model often ignores the everyday life of ordinary people in a way of strong intervention.
Therefore, it is very important and urgent to pay attention to the everyday life of people in the design process
