Abstract
The goal of this work is to reduce the conducted emissions of an inverter which is employed in an innovative agriculture all-electrical machinery. An EMI filter has been designed to this purpose, improving a previous design which due to the component shortage has to be modified and characterized. To verify the results of the LTspice simulations the Insertion Loss (IL) of the filters has been measured in the laboratory providing results that have been compared to simulations. Therefore, the software ADS PEPro has been used to take in account the parasitic effects of the PCB traces with results close to the lab measurements.
Then the system with the inverter and filter has been simulated tuning different parameters to reduce the conducted emissions.
