Abstract
Magnetic gears are a state-of-the-art technology developed in the literature only since few past decades. As the world moves more and more toward sustainability, this wear-free technology can truly be revolutionary. Many prototypes have been developed, and many more will be. This thesis work aims to provide a simple method to build a research environment that satisfies all the necessary requirements to study mechanical energy transmission prototypes, in such a way to be safe, versatile, and affordable. In the first part of the paper, the working environment is presented. It is of paramount importance to first know the object to be studied.
Once the working environment boundaries have been defined, the choice of sensors, acquisition system and the rationale behind these choices are presented
