Abstract
The aim of this work is to produce a digital twin for a single head capping machine in order to simulate the system behaviour and to use the simulation to estimate the setting parameters that result in a proper capping operation. The machine is composed by several subsystems. Each subsystem has been modelled individually. Then, a complete model of the machine has been derived using the Simulink environment. Experimental tests have been performed to evaluate the complete model. The comparison with the experimental tests shows that the simulation results are affected by low error in the estimate of the kinematic parameters.
However, the simulation also shows a different behaviour for specific parameters
