Abstract:

OEMs of the automobile industry are constantly looking out for ways to incorporate and improve ADAS functionalities into their vehicles. One of the major tasks of OEMs is to derive system and functional safety requirements during the system concept stage of the project, adhering to system engineering concepts and ISO26262. The purpose of this thesis is to study derivation of system and functional safety requirements for the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) architecture of the present and future.
