Abstract:

The purpose of this thesis is to develop a model of the Martini & Rossi rum production process, and to simulate it in order to verify the model correctness, thus validating it. The modeling process starts from the decomposition of the production process and its parameters identification. Based on the system analysis, a suitable modeling formalism is chosen. The model is then developed within a software framework (a Decision Support System) which must guarantee the fulfillment of many requirements such as flexibility and portability.
