Abstract:

Parameter identification has been performed in order to identify mechanical properties of a carbon-fiber reinforced epoxy resin. The identification has been carried on by means of the commercial software LS-OPT. Many metamodeling, design of experiment and optimization techniques have been discussed in order to find the most suitable one for parameter identification problems. As a basis for the optimization process, experimental and numerical tests have been performed on some specimens for tensile and flexural tests.
