Abstract:

The work presented describes the conceiving, manufacturing and development of a synthetic cooling jet for small scale applications. As the jet uses a loudspeaker as diaphragm, hereby will be presented the innovative usage of loudspeakers as cooling devices, rather than sources for heat losses. A detailed description of the system design has been provided. A non-dimensional analysis has been performed in order to get insights about the heat transfer mechanisms occuring, suggesting to the literature a model to systematize the analysis of the performances for such a device.
