Abstract:

Native tissues present a hierarchical organization from micro- to macroscale. In order to engineer them, reproducing such a feature is essential. Here, we present a study about influence of micrometric soft droplets (microgels) over the mechanical properties (Elastic modulus E) of a stiffer macromaterial. Also, an optimization of single cell (enzymathic) encapsulation procedure was performed and cells viability was evaluated and compared with other encapsulation techniques.
