Abstract
Most modern distributed systems increasingly rely on asynchronous, event- driven communication to achieve scalability and decouple services. But, when messages are exchanged as untyped structures and processed through centralized dispatching logic, systems often become difficult to maintain, extend, and also validate, leading to runtime fragility and reduced reliability. This thesis presents the design and implementation of a Typed Event- Bus Registry architecture built on top of an existing Amazon SQS-based infrastructure. The proposed solution introduces strongly typed event defi- nitions using Pydantic models, which enable explicit schema validation and improve type safety across the asynchronous communication layer. In addi- tion, a registry-based dispatching mechanism is introduced to dynamically resolve and invoke event handlers, replacing a traditional centralized dis- patcher based on if/else conditional logic.
The resulting architecture improves separation of concerns, validation, routing, and execution
