Abstract
Neurodiversity-inclusive extended reality environments for museums: the case study of Palazzo Carignano This thesis investigates how HBIM / MBIM based architectural 3D models can be transformed into a neurodiversity-inclusive VR museum serious game through immersive storytelling, which later turns into story-living. The study focuses on Palazzo Carignano in Turin as a case study and connects archival studies and Scan-to-BIM-to-VR workflows into semantic HBIM modelling while producing artifacts and character modelling while generation actors by following the narrative design. Using Unity is used as integration program and Meta Quest 3 as XR unit, project’s output is finalized through an optimized HBIM system for Meta Quest ready standalone serious game.
Throughout the game, user experience and interface support architectural and historical learning through playing and storytelling
