This thesis investigates how people visually assess the thermal comfort potential of streets across two European cities, Turin (Italy) and Detmold (Germany), with contrasting climates and within different Local Climate Zones. Streetscape attributes were characterized using remote sensing indices and semantic segmentation of street view images, as a data attribute table. Also, an online survey was conducted in both cities and 235 residents rated the thermal comfort of each street from photographs. Statistical analysis then links those visual comfort ratings to the physical attributes and respondents' demographic profiles.
