The following thesis analyses the agri-food sector, from production to consumption, through the integration of two complementary methodologies: systemic design and strategic foresight from the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies. In the first phase, the Foresight methodology will be used to identify trends and drivers that highlight the main changes taking place, while systemic design will be used to relate them in order to understand the interconnections between the various factors and obtain an overview of the entire agri-food system. Once the context has been outlined and the most relevant factors of change identified, the work will focus on developing alternative and plausible scenarios concerning the foods of the future and the evolution of the agri-food sector in the coming years.
