Abstract
During the last years, the amount of data that the users leave in the hands of tech companies increased a lot in value. In this context, more people are trying to find different paths to store their data safely and to preserve their privacy. One possible path is the use of the Peer To Peer technology, a way for the user to have control on the data because they are only saved locally and shared directly only with other single devices, not servers. This thesis - created in collaboration with Tether - aims to create different applications that have one main objective: offer to the people a totally free and open-source P2P alternative with the small frictions from the point of view of UX or UI.
The research will look for the reasons and the needs of specific kind of users in order to correctly frame and scale problems and solutions.
