Abstract
As one of the most technologically demanding and resource-intensive industrial sectors, aerospace manufacturing faces increasing pressure to reduce its environmental impact while maintaining stringent quality, safety and performance standards required by the industry. Despite the growing number of decarbonization strategies proposed in recent years, selecting the most appropriate solution remains a complex challenge for manufacturing companies. Each alternative offers specific advantages and limitations in terms of environmental impact, implementation cost and technological maturity, while organizations vary considerably in terms of resources, capabilities and sustainability objectives. Consequently, the suitability of a given strategy often depends on the specific characteristics of the company implementing it.
This study develops a structured multi-criteria decision-making framework for the evaluation and prioritization of emission reduction strategies in aerospace manufacturing
