This thesis explores how tactical urbanism and regenerative approaches can serve as a practical tool for enhancing city life, social connections, and local biodiversity. The study is placed in the context of the overall discussion of regenerative and resilient cities, explaining the burning necessity to challenge the traditional concepts of urban regeneration, especially in the new conditions of the rapid climate change, the decline of the biosphere, and the growing social disintegration. Rather than viewing urban regeneration as an end goal, this study considers it as a continuous process of trial and error; this perspective acknowledges that the complexity of the urban fabric precludes definitive solutions and instead favours proposing and thoroughly testing the interventions in practice to validate their functional effectiveness.
