This study addresses the post-event utilization dilemma of Olympic Villages characterized by "high maintenance costs and low benefit returns" by introducing the theory of temporary urbanism and constructing a "prototype-based temporary renewal methodology for Olympic Villages." The methodology comprises five sequential phases: Type Identification (statistical analysis of 56 Olympic Village cases to categorize four typical temporary reuse patterns), Problem Diagnosis (a five-dimensional diagnostic framework encompassing culture, activities, social services, commerce, and ecological environment), Intervention Types (five categories of temporary strategy directions precisely matching identified problems), Regeneration Strategies (extraction of specific strategy prototypes from 115 global temporary urban practice cases across dimensions such as installation types and atmospheric experiences), and Subsequent Development (summary of six sustainable development models following temporary interventions).
