In response to a significant increase in production volumes and the anticipated introduction of new business lines, it became necessary to identify a facility with larger dimensions and well-equipped to respond to the current demand. On this regard, this thesis addresses the case of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, a multinational family-run company, at the AC MF Luserna plant located in Luserna San Giovanni. The facility specializes in sheet metal stamping and in view of new demand is preparing for the relocation. The thesis examines the pillars of Industry 4.0 and analyses an optimal new arrangement of machinery, taking into account both the existing equipment and the future installation of new machines required to support the company’s upcoming developments.
