Abstract
Several satellite projects have requirements for maximum spacecraft center of mass (CoM) movement by TED. Current best practice in industry is to apply the physical deformation onto the FEM in post-processor tools. This approach however ignores local and global mass changes and can introduce significant errors. Aim of this project, developed in collaboration with Airbus Defence and Space, is to find a method able to avoid this error and increases the accuracy to the lowest discretization level (finite element size). Several approaches have been studied and the best one in term of accuracy and effort has been selected to be the base of an internal tool.
Second part of this thesis is the tool development, which is completely made by the use of Matlab App Designer
