Rel. Marco Cantamessa. Politecnico di Torino, Corso di laurea magistrale in Ingegneria Gestionale (Engineering And Management), 2026
Abstract
Competitiveness is a key feature of the automotive sector in today's global market, driven above all by the now widely diffused digitalisation. Within this framework, the ability to efficiently manage development and production processes plays a strategic role in managing innovation. This thesis will focus on the analysis and optimisation of the prototype component procurement process at Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. The aim is to identify the main operational criticalities and propose organisational and digital solutions to improve process efficiency, reduce procurement times and increase transparency and cross-functional collaboration. The study begins with a comprehensive overview of the company, with particular attention to the Logistics and Supply Chain department, which represents the primary stakeholder of the project.
The analysis describes its role within product development processes and its interfaces with other key functions, with a specific focus on prototype vehicles and their strategic importance in ensuring the company’s renowned quality standards
